Celem ochrony jest zachowanie ekosystemu zróżnicowanej siedliskowo i biocenotycznie murawy ciepłolubnej i łąk zmiennowilgotnych na podłożu węglanowym z bogatymi populacjami gatunków chronionych, zagrożonych i rzadkich.
